I’m Matt, Lucie’s boyfriend. I tried to convince her for a while (yeah, he really did) to let me write one small post for the series (because I think it’s a good idea). Now, I finally did it!
I hope you never mind and you’ll like these three things I do for myself today.
So, let’s get dive into it.
1| slow down
I don’t know about you, but I’m completely exhausted by all this hurry for increasing my own productivity. Are we robots? Let’s say STOP to this constant rush and give a chance to the creative procrastination.
Sit down on a bench, close your eyes and let your imagination run riot. Don’t think about anything today. Try to just sit and enjoy that “being” – time spent with yourself.
You will see that a lot of ideas will come to your mind just because you give yourself some space to think about it. And what about making them real?
2| cut yourself off from negative people/thing
…from things or people who don’t make you happy and take the energy from you. And how to do it?
Unsubscribe from dozens of newsletters you delete every day and keep only those you really enjoy.
On Facebook, stop following people who permanently share millions of post and status that don’t make any sense. Trust me, you won’t miss anything.
You don’t want to meet that person who always needs your attention? Then don’t go. Spend less time on computers and mobile phones. It’s too exhausting even if we don’t realise it.
Go to the forest, the meadow or where you feel most alive and draw that energy.
3| reward yourself properly
There is nothing better then give yourself a BIG break after the challenging week. I have been doing this for two weeks now and it’s great – energising.
Actually, it doesn’t matter which type of reward it will be. Personally, I think it should be something small – like dessert or ice-cream. But if you don’t like sweet, choose something else. However, I think the food is a good choice (in case, it’s not too much).
